Actions to stop illegal logging in the Amazon rainforest
The topic of this paper is illegal logging in the Amazon Rainforest.
It argues that the practice should be declined and stopped. There are five possible solutions and actions for this argument to fight the problem. The first is that the security plans should be reinforced and reviewed, the second is the application of transparency and authority in the actions against the problem; the third is the reduction of poverty in the rural communities, the fourth is the supervision of all the timber industries and their activities, and finally is the classification of all the most damaged areas in the forest.

Academic Career
I’m interested in making decisions, solving problems, negotiating, and leading people for the common goals and organizations. However, in the university I plan to take classes which are related to the political career. It is evident that classes provided in the academic areas have a big difference to those of CESL, because, the one prepares you for an academic career, and the other prepare you for how will you deal with some situations and familiarize yourself with the university classes and education. But the academic classes help you to encounter your desire for the future; those classes provide you with possible skills for your professional career. they are very general and intense compared to those of CESL.
According to me, I would major in political science and public administration; these will lead me to take classes that can bring me to prepare for my future responsibilities well and to understand what I have chosen as a major. Moreover, all the classes are linked to international relations, foreign politics, law, administration, economics, finance, and sociology, but are associated to the political studies; I will take my advantages to get them so that my education can be efficient and proficient in what I would be asked to do.

My Hometown and Carbondale
The first time I arrived here in Carbondale I really liked the place and its environment in the way it looks. Compared with my hometown, Carbondale possesses good road construction; every road is well asphalted and looks good. But compared with my hometown, Carbondale is smaller because in my hometown there are a lot of areas; you may take some hours to get to them, which are far from the downtown, but in Carbondale if you have a car you can easily drive around and see most of the places. In addition, the best thing about Carbondale, but the worst about my hometown is that in Carbondale most of the activities are centered, but in my hometown they are spread out due to the size of the town. Also in Carbondale, there are no bus stations on the big roads, except for students, where people can wait for taxis or bus to go to work, shopping, or any others destinations, and the small and big public markets like in my hometown.
Regarding my hometown, some similarity may found, like restaurants, stores, public soccer field, permanence of the electricity and some interesting places to visit such as parks, farms and other movement activities. Finally, one more thing that makes a difference is that my hometown is a capital, where there is most of the important activities of the country such as politics, music, Culture, sport, and others, but Carbondale is not.

Favorite Movie
Watching a movie is not really my preference but sometimes when you are in front of the TV, some program appears on the screen that attract your curiosity and you may need to find out what is interesting about that. This is what happened to me while I was watching TV with my big brother. He really likes movies and if it is interesting, he usually influences you to watch it for appreciating or discovering. That movie which became my favorite one since that day is "Desperado", by Antonio Banderas, from Spain. The first reason I like this movie is the Spanish language. I also like speaking this language; it is more likely to be a soft and smooth language. Moreover, the music sounds played from the movie are Afro Cuban, Latin American, like Salsa, Meringue and other styles of music from there that I admire so much.
In the story of the movie, I really appreciate the relation between Antonio Banderas and a lady called Salma Hayek (Carolina in the movie). They have escaped from all the attacks organized by Banderas's brother to kill them. In addition, some of the actions occured in the movie such as the arrival of Banderas's friends to help him face his enemies; and also one more thing that is interesting about that movie is that Banderas and his friends were the "el Mariachi" which means guitarists; they used to play guitar and sing well but inside their guitar case they had some guns hidden in it because they knew that everywhere they were going, people were after them in order to threaten and provoke them.

the Trips in CESL
To get a trip is one of the best moments in life, because at this time you go to the places you have never been before. The trip opens you to the diversity of the world by understanding the other people's lifestyle and culture, by visiting some interesting areas, and by meeting other people. In my life I used to like trips; I always take advantage if the opportunity is presented to me, especially the trip by bus, like CESL organizes, which seems to be very important for me because when you are traveling by bus you have a chance to admire the nature, to watch some of the environment. For example, in my country when you take a trip to go to a town called Matadi, you will be crossing an area where you can see big rocks with extraordinary forms from the past, when the Belgiums were living in Congo; they designed a sort of watch in those rocks to attract the attention of people while traveling.
Regarding CESL trips, the one that has been good for me was the St Louis trip where I got the chance to visit some animals in the zoo that I have never seen in my life. In addition, that trip allowed me to visit around the place such as the big city market of the Mall. The CESL trips are best in the way they are organized-the transportation is comfortable and ensuring, and the teachers who guide students usually help them by explaining to them some places, their features and importance. If possible CESL can organize a trip to Chicago, Los Angeles or Miami, as long as the feasibility is well analyzed.

Wedding
When people are getting married in my country, everybody in their family is happy. The wedding is one of the best moments in people's lives, because at this time parents and other family members are all involved in it; they are giving their support in different ways such as financial, moral, physical to help the moment be successful. In addition, you will see how some people in the family or friends contribute by giving some interesting gifts.
A perfect wedding is also when people are getting married officially by going to the church for a blessing, by respecting some customs or traditional systems of marriage, and by being registered in the state for a civil wedding. Also for some tribes in my country, the wedding will not be considered as perfect if the man has not fulfilled all the requirements.
If I was planning a wedding, I would first take my time to prepare it as well as I can, because if you manage your time well in taking some possible provisions, your wedding may be perfect. Furthermore, two of the most important customs mentioned above that I will be planning well is the civil wedding and the custom wedding because, the first helps to guarantee the existence of the marriage in the state and the second is also important for the recognition in the two families.

Holidays
In my country the holidays occur mostly from July to September when children from high school go for what we call a big vacation after finishing the school year and students from university get done with the academic year too. In this period, the weather becomes cooler and dryer, but people always enjoy this time for having some fun. Others organize some culture activities; they go camping, vacation, and even hiking. In addition, the state in that time often opens the center of activities called "Fikin", which means the International Funfair of Kinshasa, where there are diverse activities such as music every Sunday and Saturday by some famous musicians of the country, comedies, exhibition of arts, shopping, and selling of children's toys for plays and games, and advertisements of some cellular companies like Vodacom and Celtel.
Also, most parents take advantage of that moment to bring their children there for enjoying the holiday too and to visit some other places and things they have never seen before. During this moment in that center, some tribes prepare their traditional food for people to taste, for example, one tribe called Les Bayombe may prepare a mixture of rice, beans, and manioc leaves with pepper.

Favorite singer and Musical group
My favorite singer is Koffi Olomide; he is from my country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and his musical group is called Quartier Latin International. I like this group because it is one of the most famous groups in my country. They show internationally the culture of our music. They are the first group in Africa to play a big concert in Bercy, one of the biggest activities room in France, which can receive more than 16,000 people. Furthermore, Koffi Olomide has created his own style of music that we call tshatsho, a soft and romantic music which almost every musician of the country, and even those of foreign countries, have tried to imitate.
When Koffi's music is playing most of the women are in joy, because he is the most famous artist in my country that many ladies and women like. They nicknamed him Papa Fololo, which means"flower father", and Papa Sucre, which means "Sweet father"; he has many of those sorts of nicknames. In 2005, during Kora, the biggest Afican musical festival that takes place in South Africa once per year, Koffi was elected as the best artist of the decade.
Actually, in his career he has earned 3 golden discs, and published sixteen albums under his name. Koffi and his musical group are counted among the most famous musicians in the African musical story. Some of the titles of his bands are: V12, loi, force de frappe, danger de mort, ultimatum, wake up,and maggie. But the list is long.

Friendship
In friendship it is better to have a friend who has good characteristics, such as kind, helpful, servable, christian, easygoing and respectful. When you have a close friend in whom you are sharing your entire secret, he becomes like your family member, and your friendship goes beyond itself. Therefore, a close friend assists you when you are in difficulties; he is close to during suffering, for example, when you lose your family member (father, mother, uncle, brother or sister). In addition, in the situation that you are broken down but you need money for doing something very crucial in that moment, a good friend may help you by giving or lending you some money to satisfy your needs. Having a good friend next to you, is one of the most important ways to be assisted in different ways. Also, a good friend is the one who understands you better; he can be the only person who makes your temper come down when you are in anger.
