Abstract
Conflicts between ethnic groups are commonplace in Kenya. This situation is deep-rooted particularly in the political system that this country has inherited since its independence. Leaders tend to use their political clout to set their ethnic group against other groups, in a perspective of leading the country for a lifetime. Solving this problem is necessary, but it requires some courses of action. Reforming the political system by promoting democracy and improving the socio-economic condition of the population through the access to some basic services such as education, health care, energy and water supplies, food supplies etc. are indispensible.
